Using an eye bath to relieve sore eyes has been recommended by medical professionals for over a century.

The principle of an eye bath is very simple: the idea is to develop a formula that mimics the properties of our own tears to act in the same way as natural tears, cleaning and restoring the surface of the eye.

Acuaiss eye bath is a product that perfectly mimics the composition of the tear film. It contains a saline solution and hyaluronic acid to cleanse and moisturize in one easy step.

• The saline solution simulates the composition of the natural tear film, i.e. H. it acts like a secretion from the tear duct, washing away dust and cosmetics to clean the surface of the eye. To avoid any discomfort, the composition and tonicity of the formula must be fully compatible with the tear film, which is pH neutral and has an osmolarity of 300. Acuaiss Eye Bath has a pH of 7.3 and an osmolarity of approximately 300.


• Hyaluronic acid's ability to retain water and connect the tear film to the corneal epithelium stabilizes tear fluid and helps restore the eye's natural balance. Sodium hyaluronate or hyaluronic acid has excellent water retention properties compared to other humectants, especially in low humidity (dry environments). And because it is biocompatible, it does not cause rejection.
