VISUS exhibits at COVD 2023 in Toronto
Stuttgart, May 30th 2023
At the end of April, VISUS took part in the renowned COVD event in Toronto and was able to convince with an impressive congress appearance. Under the direction of our CEO Moritz Fanti, we presented a number of new products at the joint stand of our partner TODOS GROUP from the USA. The prism goggle set in a sustainable case made of recycled cardboard, the VISUS Flippers, our Visopter, modern Marsden balls and the latest version of our revolutionary eye tracking software were particularly highlighted. The latter in particular aroused great interest, as it offers maximum flexibility with minimal technical effort and opens up completely new possibilities for optometrists to visualize visual problems in their patients.
About COVD in Toronto
COVD stands for "College of Optometrists in Vision Development". The annual congress is usually attended by around 1,000 members. The COVD is one of the most important events in the field of optometry and a leader in the field of visual training (vision therapy). Experts, specialists and companies from all over the world meet here to present and exchange the latest findings, research results and products in the field of visual health. It was a unique opportunity for us to present our innovative solutions to an international specialist audience and to establish and expand potential partnerships.
Products from VISUS "Made in Europe"
At the joint stand of the TODOS GROUP, we had the opportunity to demonstrate our latest products and present some small, very specialized manufacturers from Europe. The prism goggle set enables optometrists to precisely analyze and train visual disorders and strabismus. With the VISUS Flippers, we offer an innovative solution for the qualitative analysis of vision problems and the improvement of various visual functions. The company LANG Stereotest AG from Switzerland was also represented by us with its (new) products. The Visopter (100% Made in Germany) attracted attention among the favorites of binocular screening and new product ideas emerged that are based on the Visopter technology. The Marsden balls, which can be used with children and adults, promote hand-eye coordination and eye-following movements.
Overall, however, the balanced mixture of moderate prices, good quality and innovative developments was decisive for the new customers that we were able to acquire at the congress.
Highlight: The latest version of the eye tracking software
The visitors were particularly enthusiastic about the latest version of our eye tracking software. This revolutionary technology enables optometrists to visualize visual problems in their patients without having to rely on extensive hardware. The flexibility and mobility of this software opens up completely new perspectives for optometrists in the diagnosis and treatment of visual impairments. With just a single multifunctional tool, they can now visualize visual problems, allowing for customized and effective treatment. The imminent change of the eye-tracking bar to the tobii 5L impressed many visitors to the congress, as it brings with it completely new functions. The market launch is planned for summer 2023.
Win-win situation with Todos Group
The concept of our appearance was also new: The newly founded startup Todos Group hosted the VISUS stand on its joint stand with other "small" innovators from the industry. As a result, visitors were able to get to know several companies and their products at the same time, which, from Todos' point of view, contribute significantly to the success of the visual training market. VISUS was able to form the cooperation with the founder Kelin Kushin many months before the COVD. Todos supports VISUS in entering the market outside of Europe, so that VISUS can concentrate on logistics and a top-selected product range.
